Frequently Asked Questions

  • For both birth and postpartum support, you can book our services as soon as you’d like!! The sooner, the better as I really like to provide the most personal experience possible and this means I take on very few clients per month so booking soon will help ensure you get a spot on my calendar!

  • Payment plans are definitely an option! And also worth noting here that, thanks to the generosity of those who are able and willing to afford the higher end prices of my services, I am able to keep funds available to provide ongoing support to families who could not otherwise access doula services. Thank you for your support!

  • Working with a birth doula has been proved to provide benefits to the birthing person and the family as a whole. A trained birth doula is there to make the experience smoother on everyone, working with your partner and everyone else in the room as a team. Evidence shows that having a doula can:

25% decrease in the risk of Cesarean

8% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth

10% decrease in use of medication for pain relief

    Shorter labor

31% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience.

    Lower rates of postpartum depression

  • I offer a variety of packages and range of prices to ensure accessibility. Please refer to our packages page to see the different options.

  • I am happy to attend births or offer postpartum services in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Longmont and all the way to Boulder/Louisville.

  • I do not guarantee specific outcomes. However, I help you establish healthy sleep habits for your baby so that they can get restorative sleep in age appropriate stretches and therefore, you get a more restful night too. We look at sleep from an integral and WHOLEistic approach.

  • While I meet families where they are at and use a variety and combination of sleep techniques, I do not believe in a “cry it out” approach. I believe in responsive care that will help your and your baby’s needs be met and get better, more restful nights.

  • Absolutely! I am not here to judge you and/or your postpartum journey. My role is simply to educate and support. If you choose not to sleep “train”, I can still support you in plenty of other ways :)

  • While many people still use the terms “baby nurse” or “night nurse”, the correct term (unless you are speaking about an actual registered nurse) is Newborn Care Specialist. I am an Advanced Newborn Care Specialist

  • I charge an hourly rate for my postpartum services, however, we can definitely tailor-make a package that works for your family’s needs.

  • Short answer? 150% YES :)

  • Another short answer? Yes, I do! :)
